(Tips for you and your team)

The fight is underway! Who will win?

You are coming up against the greatest competition ever—the holidays!

You need to realize that all of the year-end holidays are your competitors. They are distractions. What will your game plan be to combat the distractions to maximize output?

There’s a huge opportunity for you to use the holidays to drive more business to you!

For this to happen, it’s imperative that you have a conversation with your team now. They need to stay focused on the business and remain present. The minute they check out is the minute the competition will beat you.

This doesn’t mean they can’t take time off, but it does mean that everyone should make the most of the time at work and keep fighting to finish the year strong. A great November and December leads to a great January . . . and a great start to the new year!

Here are 7 tips to keep you and your team focused at the office through the holidays:

1. REMEMBER THAT PEOPLE ARE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
Expand your hours to see more patients!

2. CREATE AN END-OF-YEAR “USE IT OR LOSE IT” MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR PATIENTS.
Encourage patients to use their insurance benefits.

3. DO SOMETHING FUN.
What do you have planned for the rest of the year to boost morale and ignite team building? This could be a team outing, event out of the office, holiday party, charitable team activity, etc.

4. DON’T TAKE YOUR WORK HOME.
Over the holidays many of us have family obligations—be present. Set reasonable goals for what you need to accomplish at the office. If that means you open earlier over the holidays to see more new patients, but you get home on time that night . . . then you win. You still want to finish strong, but stay balanced.

5. DON’T BE A SCROOGE.
Being positive during the holidays can make a big difference in your performance and your team’s performance. Your patients will recognize this and send you more referral opportunities.

6. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
Exercise more, and get more sleep. You’ll feel better, have more energy, and get more done during the day. When you make time for these activities, you will realize you actually do have the time to take care of work and yourself.

7. REDUCE YOUR TAXABLE INCOME.
Investing in tax-deductible trainings for yourself and your team is a great year-end tax strategy for growing your money in the following year. Here are some resources you can invest in between now and the end of the year.
